Read an entry from a table

Syntax

Peek options

Options

-name: Optional user-defined name for the transform
-table: Table to use.; Type: String; Default: "/sine"

Inlets

index: Index into table; Type: Integer
floatIndex: lookup table value for floating-point number; Type: Float

Outlets

value: value of table entry; Type: Float

State Variables

table: Table to use.; Type: String; Default: "/sine"

Comments

Peek allows table entries to be looked up in to ways. If an integer i is received via the index inlet, the ith entry in the table is returned. If a float is received via the floatIndex inlet, the closest entry in the table is returned, or 0 if the number is outside the range covered by the table. You can use the floating-point inlet to implement table-lookup functions.
