Sample-and-hold function
SampleAndHold options
SampleAndHold records the value of the incoming audio signal samplesIn whenever the value of the incoming control signal controlIn exceeds threshold. The recorded value is then "held" and output as a constant signal value until the next time the control signal crosses the threshold.
If a periodic ramping signal such as a Phasor is used as a control, the input signal will be subsampled at the frequency of the control signal. Of course, the control signal need not be periodic.
Sample-and-hold modules were common in many modular analog synthesizers and were often used for creating complex control signals.
